The Foundry Division provides direct & indirect employment to 2000 people within an 8 Km radius, significantly contributing to the economic & infrastructure development of Sholinghur. This Division became a zero discharge industry of process water and pollutants in 2000 and zero discharge of solid wastes from March 2001 by utilizing it for creating kitchen garden, flowering trees and development of green belt.
The Foundry Division has developed “stabilized mud block technology” from solid wastes to construct buildings. This Division has established a school for local village and maintaining it besides a technical training center - Matrix for developing young talented technicians in the areas of Tool & Die Making, Mechatronics, Machine Tool Maintenance and Foundry technology.
Best practices and proactive measures taken by the foundry division had fetched the “Green Foundry of the Year” award during 2005.
Foundry division has been awarded with “National Energy Conservation Award” during the year 2005 for its’ continued efforts in conserving energy.
